The Sims 4 has added 10 - soon to be 11, thanks to the upcoming release of Cottage Living - expansion packs since it first came out, as well as various Stuff Packs, Game Packs, and most recently the newly-introduced Kits. It might seem on paper that the game has plenty to offer, but when compared to previous Sims titles like The Sims 2 and 3, which included significantly more customizability options (as well as a more open world in the case of Sims 3), Sims 4 has the potential to grow stale at a much faster pace. Luckily, there are quite a few methods to make the game feel new and exciting again.
For many, the game has very little replay value, and even the most avid Sims 4 fans may find themselves experiencing frequent burnout when trying to revisit it. Since its launch in 2014, The Sims 4 has been criticized due to its lack of distinct gameplay features.
